MIAMI, May 19 (UPI) -- The lawsuit of a Florida Orthodox Jewish prison inmate to get kosher food that had been dismissed has now been reinstated, court records showed. The Eleventh Circuit appellate court last week put Bruce Rich, who has been serving a life sentence since a Miami-Dade County jury found him guilty in 1999 of shooting to death his parents and who filed suit in 2010 alleging the denial of a kosher diet violated his federal rights, a step closer to getting kosher food for himself and hundreds of Florida inmates who likewise require kosher food, the Miami Herald reported Saturday. Florida’s Tomato Farmers are challenging the Commerce Department’s recent suspension agreement with Mexico. The Florida Tomato Exchange has filed a lawsuit with the US Court of International Trade, questioning whether the antidumping case complies with federal laws designed to ensure fair trade on imported goods. Family files lawsuit after fatal shooting
SOUTH MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida family is filling a lawsuit against Miami-Dade County and a security surveillance company for failing to keep their loved one safe. Twenty-five-year-old Casanova Atwater was gunned down in the parking lot of a housing community in South Miami-Dade in March. The shooting occurred just feet away from a security camera, but investigators said, the camera was not working. The low-income community of Goulds' Arthur Mays Villas had a state-of-the-art security system with 22 cameras installed less than two years ago at taxpayer expense. Lululemon sued after boosting executive pay after See-through pants disaster
The New York Post/AP WILMINGTON, Del. — A retirement fund for police and firefighters in Florida is suing Lululemon Athletica Inc., taking issue with a decision by Lululemon's compensation committee to boost the maximum payout of the executive bonus plan just before a $60 million recall of yoga pants. ACLU sues Florida school board over gay-straight club
