Johnson Controls has selected Datacert Inc.’s Passport product to streamline its legal technology systems.
Datacert’s feature product, Passport, consolidates and integrates legal applications. Johnson Controls will use Passport to streamline its three global business units.
Houston-based Datacert is considered one of the early pioneers of legal technology, offering e-billing software for legal departments since 1998. Its first cusomers included Chase Manhattan, Honda and UPS.
Through corporate acquisitions and as a result of customer demand, Datacert has moved beyond merely the billing platform, and now offers additional applications, including enterprise legal and spend management software. It also offers client services in intellectual property and legal operations.
The Passport product provides greater management of cases and expenses and enables global law departments to consolidate their tech solutions into one space.
“Passport was specifically developed to be a broad solution that could be scaled to address diverse industry and organizational needs, now and for years to come,” said Jim Tallman, president and chief executive officer, Datacert.
Datacert has offices in New York City, Paris, Basel, Frankfurt and in several Asia-Pacific locations.
