Republican Party considers suit v. Crist

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. Duringtheir meetings at Walt Disney World, members of the Republican Party of Florida say they may pursue a lawsuit against Gov. Charlie Crist.

The group which spent time at the Central Florida theme park and resort, requested an audit of finances, specifically with a hard look at ex-chairman Jim Greers accounting procedures.

The executive board of the party voted to ask for more information about expenses charged by Christ, ex-executive director Delmar Johnson III and Greer.

Members of the Republican Party have spent millions of dollars in contributions towards Crists Senate campaign, prior to his April decision to make a bid for the seat as an Independent.
